Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 1,310 Russians on the front and destroyed 26 armored vehicles

As of August 23, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,476,580 personnel, while over the past day Ukrainian troops eliminated another 1,310 occupiers, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported, UNN writes.

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has also lost 12,292 tanks and 25,202 armored combat vehicles. Over the past day, the number of destroyed armored vehicles increased by 26, while no tank losses were recorded.

Russian artillery losses amount to 48,451 systems, 69 of which were destroyed over the past day. Ukrainian troops also destroyed one air defense system, bringing the total number of such losses to 1,585 units.

Aviation and drone losses

According to the General Staff, Russian forces have lost 440 aircraft and 354 helicopters. One aircraft was destroyed over the past day.

The General Staff separately reported 476,566 destroyed operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles. Over the past day, Ukrainian troops destroyed another 1,925 such UAVs. In addition, the total losses of Russian forces amount to 2,352 ground robotic systems, eight of which were destroyed over the past day.

The largest losses by number remain those of motor vehicles and fuel tankers — 138,219 units. Over the past day, Ukrainian troops destroyed another 415 units of such equipment. Total losses of special-purpose equipment amount to 4,569 units, four of which were destroyed over the past day.
