Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced an initiative to remove the president and a constitutional reform in the fall. Measures to combat corruption are also planned.
Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar said on Monday that his government will initiate the removal of the President of Hungary from office by amending the constitution and will begin constitutional reform in the fall, reports UNN citing Reuters.

Magyar also stated in his speech in parliament that his government will introduce broad economic, political, and legal measures to eradicate corruption in Hungary, including the establishment of a National Asset Protection and Recovery Agency.

Earlier, the Hungarian parliament approved amendments to the country's constitution, which prohibit the prime minister from heading the government for more than eight years.
Thus, former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has effectively been banned from holding this position again.
