The head of North Ossetia reported that 15 UAVs were shot down: "An attack by unmanned aerial vehicles was repelled in the Mozdok district. According to the Ministry of Defense of Russia, 15 drones were destroyed by air defense systems. There are no casualties or damage."
The ASTRA Telegram channel geolocated a photo with smoke after the attack in Mozdok and reported that "the footage was taken near the building of the RDC - the district palace of culture on the 50th Anniversary of October Square. It is approximately 6 kilometers from the air base." "Residents of the city report that the attack was aimed specifically at the airfield," the Telegram channel writes.
Earlier, the Mozdok airfield was reportedly damaged in an attack in June 2024.
Russian Telegram channels also reported that three explosions were heard in the sky over Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region, at night, and that residents of Engels, Saratov region, reported hearing UAV sounds and at least five explosions in the sky. In the Krasnodar Territory, people heard air defense working in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Tikhoretsk and Slavyansk-on-Kuban.
