Exports of Ukrainian agricultural products increased by 14% compared to last year - expert

In 16 months, Ukrainian agricultural products were exported to 50 countries via the sea corridor. More than 90 million tons of products passed through Odesa's ports, which is 14% more than last year.
In 16 months, Ukrainian products have reached fifty countries and more than 400 million people have gained access to them, said Oleksiy Leonov, MP, member of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, during a live telethon, UNN reports .

More than 90 million tons of products were shipped through the Ukrainian sea corridor. Since its launch in 2023, more than 3,000 vessels have used this route. These vessels were loaded and unloaded in the ports of Odesa.
More than two-thirds of exports belong to the agricultural sector, and Odesa helped to export almost 57 million tons through the great corridor. Despite the constant shelling, the sea corridor and port infrastructure of Odesa continues to increase the volume of Ukrainian exports, which significantly contributes to the strengthening of Ukraine's economy.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the state earned more than $46 billion from exports of goods and services in 10 months of 2024, which is almost 10% more than last year.
Oleksiy Leonov also noted that, according to government estimates, it will be possible to increase exports by one and a half times and reach the results of 2021, when the turnover reached $65 billion.
The main groups of goods exported through the sea corridor are the agricultural sector (44%) and metal (8%), and both of these groups are constantly increasing their potential from year to year. Exports of these goods increased by almost 14% this year.

The Minister of Agrarian Policy predicts export revenues from the agricultural sector to reach $24.5 billion in 2023. Agrarians sowed 19.8 million hectares and successfully harvested the crop, ensuring the country's food security.
