Atomenergomash (a separate subdivision) will produce the first batch of bottom nozzles for VVER-1000 fuel assemblies within four months. Qualification of the production of fuel assembly top nozzles is ongoing.

The "Atomenergomash" separate subdivision has received the materials necessary for the production of the first batch of components used in fuel assemblies. This was reported by NNEGC "Energoatom," according to UNN.
Energoatom is implementing agreements with Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB regarding the localization of the production of components used in fuel assemblies. SS "Atomenergomash" (AEM) has received the necessary materials for the production of the first batch of VVER-1000 fuel assembly bottom nozzles. The production period for the batch is four months,
The manufactured bottom nozzles will then be used in the production of fuel for Ukrainian NPPs.
It is noted that the qualification process for another fuel assembly component—top nozzles for fuel assemblies—is currently underway.
As a reminder
In 2025, SE NNEGC "Energoatom" and Westinghouse Electric Company signed agreements on the production of nuclear fuel in Ukraine. This will strengthen energy security and eliminate dependence on Russian supplies.
