President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on a meeting in Kyiv with US Congressmen Richard Blumenthal and Jim Himes. During the negotiations, the parties discussed further support for Ukraine, strengthening air defense, and sanctions pressure on Russia. Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram, reports UNN.

According to the President, Ukraine has a "significant need for anti-ballistic missiles" due to constant Russian attacks.
"I sent a letter to the White House and the US Congress regarding Ukraine's needs for such missiles. And today, I also personally handed this letter to the congressmen. We count on timely support,"
The President also informed the American politicians about the situation at the front and Ukrainian long-range strikes.
"Partners clearly see that Russia is suffering enormous losses. It is important to prevent the weakening of sanctions against the RF,"
Separately, the parties discussed cooperation with the US regarding the conclusion of a Drone Deal.
Zelenskyy added that the topic of peace negotiations was also raised during the meeting.
"There should be no pause in diplomacy, and negotiations must be intensified. The whole world needs peace,"
