A new brainstorming tool, in conjunction with Google Gemini, could give YouTube an edge over other video social media platforms. The brainstorming feature offers users something that these competing platforms don't have. In addition, it makes sense for Google to incorporate its artificial intelligence into the video platform to encourage creators to pay attention and distract from OpenAI's ChatGPT.
YouTube sees the new addition as a way to gauge whether creators prefer the inspiration tool, Gemini integration, or both when it comes to helping with ideas for content.

The "Brainstorm with Gemini" feature is similar to another artificial intelligence feature that YouTube tested in May 2024: an inspiration tool that provides creators with ideas for video topics that interest their audience.
