Xiaomi is officially launching the new generation of the Xiaomi T series on the Ukrainian market — the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. The slogan of the line is "Master of Telephoto": a professional Leica telephoto camera with 5x zoom is available in both models of the series for the first time. Paired with Leica Summilux optics, Leica Live Moment and Leica Live Portrait functions, Xiaomi HyperAI artificial intelligence, and displays with Xiaomi Vision Care technology, the series claims the title of imaging flagship of 2026. Sales in Ukraine start on May 28, 2026, on the Allo marketplace, UNN reports.
Two body sizes — a first for the Xiaomi T series
The structural innovation of the line is two different body sizes.
- Xiaomi 17T — a compact 6.59-inch body;
- Xiaomi 17T Pro — a full-sized 6.83-inch flagship.
Both models have IP68 protection.
Colors:
- Xiaomi 17T: Violet, Blue, Black;
- Xiaomi 17T Pro: Deep Blue, Deep Violet, Black.
Camera: Leica telephoto lens now in two formats
The main change compared to its predecessor is that the Leica telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom has become available not only in the Pro but also in the base model.
The camera system configuration is triple:
- 50 MP main camera, ƒ/1.67 (17T Pro) or ƒ/1.7 (17T), OIS, Light Fusion 950 sensor in the Pro and Light Fusion 800 in the base version;
- 50 MP Leica telephoto camera, ƒ/3.0, OIS, 115mm equivalent, AI Ultra Zoom up to 120x, macro photography from 30 cm;
- 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, ƒ/2.2, 120° viewing angle.
A distinct feature of the series is Leica Live Moment. The camera captures not only the decisive moment but also the movement and emotions that precede it. It works at all focal lengths of the main modules. Leica Live Portrait brings this logic to portrait mode: Leica's signature bokeh effect separates the face from the background without losing the fluidity of movement and the model's live emotions.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro additionally features Live cinematography — 4K recording with seamless zoom, as well as 8K video recording at 30 fps and 4K at 120 fps.
Display with Xiaomi Vision Care technology
Both smartphones received 1.5K AMOLED screens with a peak brightness of 3500 nits, ensuring readability under direct sunlight. The series' displays are the first in the industry to receive four separate TÜV Rheinland certifications in the eye care category.
Performance: Dimensity 9500 and 8500-Ultra
The foundation of both smartphones is the new generation of MediaTek processors:
- Xiaomi 17T Pro — Dimensity 9500, 3nm process, octa-core CPU up to 4.21 GHz, Mali G1-Ultra GPU, NPU 990;
- Xiaomi 17T — Dimensity 8500-Ultra, 4nm process, Mali-G720 MC8 GPU, NPU 880.
Memory in all versions is LPDDR5X 9600 Mbps + UFS 4.1. Configurations: 12 + 256 GB and 12 + 512 GB for both models. Additionally, 12 GB + 1 TB is available only for the Pro.
The Xiaomi IceLoop 3D system is responsible for cooling: it maintains stable performance during long gaming sessions. The OS is Xiaomi HyperOS, and the AI feature set is Xiaomi HyperAI.
New generation silicon-carbon batteries
The Xiaomi 17T series is the first among Xiaomi's international flagships to receive silicon-carbon batteries — this allowed for increased capacity without increasing dimensions.
- Xiaomi 17T Pro — 7000 mAh, +27% compared to its predecessor. 100W wired and 50W wireless hyper-charging.
- Xiaomi 17T — 6500 mAh, +18%. 67W hyper-charging.
Both models support 22.5W reverse charging.

The Xiaomi 17T series is primarily a photo flagship: the Leica telephoto camera with 5x zoom, AI Ultra Zoom up to 120x, Leica Summilux optics, Leica Live Moment, and Leica Live Portrait are available in both compact and full-sized bodies — the smartphone format no longer dictates the quality of the shots.
