White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the US "has not officially requested an extension of the truce" with Iran, UNN reports with reference to AP.

The truce, announced on April 7, is currently set to expire next Tuesday.
"We remain actively engaged in these discussions at this time," Leavitt said, adding that "discussions" are underway about holding new in-person talks, "but nothing is official until you hear about it from us here at the White House."
She said that possible next rounds of talks would "most likely" take place in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, as before.
