The parties are negotiating the transfer of enriched uranium in exchange for access to assets. The plan to end the war is three pages long and has disagreements.

The US and Iran are negotiating a three-page plan to end the war, one of the key points of which is the possible unfreezing of $20 billion in Iranian assets in exchange for Tehran handing over its enriched uranium stockpiles. This is reported by Axios, according to UNN.

Details

According to the publication, negotiations this week showed gradual progress, although significant differences still remain between the parties.

If an agreement is reached, it could become the basis for ending the war and de-escalating the conflict, but at the same time, it could provoke criticism both in the US and within Iran.

Axios notes that one of the main elements of the discussion is the use of frozen Iranian funds, access to which Tehran seeks to restore in exchange for nuclear concessions.

Officially, Washington and Tehran have not yet commented on the details of the negotiations.
