Gallant informed his interlocutor about Israel's defense actions and emphasized that the country was "ready for any further attacks.

Iran had previously announced the launch of dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles toward Israel. According to Israeli media, more than 100 drones were launched in total. The Israeli army began shooting them down over the territory of Syria and Jordan.
