U.S. and Ukrainian defense ministers hold talks on security assistance and the upcoming meeting of the contact group

The head of the Pentagon discussed the dynamics of hostilities and military assistance with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. This is reported by the US Department of Defense, UNN reports.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin had a phone conversation with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The main topics of discussion were the current situation at the frontline and further military support from the United States. 

In addition, the parties paid attention to preparations for the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, which is scheduled to take place early next year. 

The leaders agreed to maintain an active dialog.
