Paid waiting rooms will accept passengers free of charge, and after the system is restored, Ukrzaliznytsia plans a number of "compliments". Therefore, passengers are advised to keep their paper tickets, UNN reports with reference to the press service of the national carrier.

Details

Ukrzaliznytsia expressed its desire to partially compensate for the inconveniences associated with the consequences of a large-scale cyberattack. In connection with this proposal, the following is known:

  • paid waiting rooms, as officially stated, are free to accept passengers with paper tickets purchased during the hacker attack;
    • passengers on board are entitled to receive free tea from Ukrzaliznytsia (also subject to the availability of a paper ticket).

      In general, the carrier strongly advises "to keep your paper ticket", as it is planned to launch a number of "compliments" from the railway and partners - as a sign of apology for the situation.

      The good old paper ticket will be another reminder that Ukrainians are passing all the tests with dignity in times of great war

      - the company says.

      It is also reported that 3 additional ticket offices in Kyiv, 2 in Vinnytsia, 1 in Lviv, which operate without technical breaks and lunches, were already opened at noon.

      Meanwhile:

      IT specialists of Ukrzaliznytsia, the Cyber Department of the SBU, the State Cyber Defense Center, the Government Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-UA) under the State Service for Special Communications, the Kyivstar IT team and all involved specialists continue to work synchronously around the clock, trying to restore all Ukrzaliznytsia systems affected by the enemy cyberattack as soon as possible.

      - the company informs.

      Let us remind you

      "Ukrzaliznytsia" had a technical failure, due to which online services are temporarily not working.

      A large-scale cyberattack on Ukrzaliznytsia was prepared by the Russians to destroy services. Customers' personal data is safe, and the money for tickets is promised to be returned.

      Ukrzaliznytsia started selling tickets for trains in suburban ticket offices. For the convenience of passengers, the working hours of some ticket offices have been extended and additional cashiers have been involved.

      Ukrzaliznytsia is restoring online services after a large-scale cyberattack and offers to buy tickets at ticket offices.
