Representatives of Ukraine, the European Commission, Moldova, and Romania held a quadrilateral meeting dedicated to strengthening the implementation of the Solidarity Lanes, developing the capacity of ports in the Danube region, and ensuring stable transit of Ukrainian products, reports UNN with reference to the Ministry of Restoration, Infrastructure, and Transport.

Representatives of the four sides discussed the development of the Solidarity Lanes, increasing the capacity of ports in the Danube region, and solutions that will help ensure uninterrupted transit of Ukrainian cargo.
Among the representatives of the Ukrainian side were First Deputy Minister of Restoration, Infrastructure, and Transport of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach and Deputy Minister Andriy Kashuba.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to work on:
▪️ increasing the capacity of ports in the Danube region
▪️ development of railway, road, and border infrastructure
▪️ reducing the time for customs and border control
▪️ improving coordination between transport, customs, and border services
▪️ attracting European funding for infrastructure modernization within the Solidarity Lanes and the TEN-T network
Since the launch of the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor, 209.3 million tons of cargo have been transported, of which 124.1 million tons were grain. Also, the ports of Greater Odesa provide about 90% of Ukrainian agricultural exports, which are supplied to more than 55 countries worldwide.
