The repair campaign continues in Ukraine; in April, 711 MW were successfully restored. This was reported by First Vice Prime Minister — Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal after a meeting of the Headquarters, UNN reports.

Regarding the restoration of generating capacities and equipment of the Kyiv energy hub, according to Shmyhal, mechanisms for the functioning of backup power systems for heat supply facilities are being developed.
The Minister added that work continues to strengthen the protection of energy facilities. Our task is to protect as much as we possibly can. Plans for the installation of cogeneration units were also detailed.
In March and April alone, Ukraine received over 140 humanitarian shipments totaling nearly 1,500 tons from partner countries. Furthermore, with the support of the Japanese JICA, the delivery of 62 powerful transformers is planned. We expect another 11 from the UNDP.
