Oleksandr Romanchuk, a debutant for the Ukraine national football team, left an autograph for one of the wounded defenders who slept through the visit of the national team players to a hospital in Lviv, UNN reports.
Details
As reported by the UAF, the association's president Andriy Shevchenko, the national team players, and the entire coaching staff visited a military hospital in Lviv, where the national team is preparing for the match against Denmark.
The players spoke with servicemen undergoing rehabilitation after injuries and also handed over aid to the hospital.
However, there was a curious incident. One serviceman slept through the meeting with the footballers, which he later shared on Threads. Upon waking up, he saw a pennant signed by one of the team's players near his bed, but he did not know who had left him the gift.
"Footballers from the Ukrainian national team came to the hospital—honestly, I slept through it. When I woke up, I saw a pennant with an autograph next to me and I don't even know who to be grateful to. Dear Threaders, who recognizes the signature?"
In a comment under the post, national team debutant Oleksandr Romanchuk informed that it was he who had left the pennant for the soldier.
"Yes, it's mine. I didn't want to disturb your sleep, so I decided to leave it next to you. Thank you for your protection and I wish you a speedy recovery,"
The UAF also reacted to the post, wishing the serviceman a speedy recovery.
