The government has expanded the list of young doctors eligible to receive 200,000 UAH in targeted state assistance upon employment. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, UNN reports.
Details
According to Svyrydenko, the one-time payment is available to medical graduates who have completed their internship at state higher education institutions and have committed to working for at least three years in state or municipal healthcare facilities in communities with a critical need for medical workers.
Previously, the program applied to graduates who began working in areas of active hostilities and in rural areas.
From now on, it can also be utilized by young doctors who have taken up positions in healthcare facilities located in territories of possible hostilities (excluding the Kyiv region and cities of regional significance — Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv).
The decision is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the medical system and providing healthcare facilities with necessary specialists in regions where there is a sustained high load on the healthcare system and a shortage of doctors in various specialties, Svyrydenko concluded.
