During consultations between the governments of Ukraine and Lithuania in Vilnius, the parties discussed joint defense projects, including the production of interceptor drones as part of the implementation of the Drone Deal signed by the presidents of the two states on May 13. This was reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko, according to UNN.

According to her, Lithuania became the first NATO country with which Ukraine concluded such an agreement in the field of defense technologies and unmanned systems.
The parties paid special attention to cooperation in the maritime sector, specifically the production of naval drones and opportunities for implementing joint projects in the field of ammunition manufacturing.
Ukraine also confirmed its readiness to send its military experts to Lithuania to support the development of airspace defense systems and counter modern security threats.
The Lithuanian side, in turn, confirmed its intention to use the SAFE mechanism to finance joint defense projects.
The Prime Minister thanked Lithuania for its support of Ukraine and recalled that starting from 2024, the country allocates at least 0.25% of its GDP annually to support Ukrainian defense and security.
