Deputy Head of the NACP Artem Sytnyk met with officials of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior, as well as representatives of the Czech AMO Association. The main topic of discussion was the fight against corruption and cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic in this area. This was reported by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, UNN reports.

Details

During the discussion, Czech officials expressed confidence in the need for an effective anti-corruption infrastructure in Ukraine, especially in the context of actualizing European support.

The meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs focused on the following key aspects: identification and confiscation of assets acquired through criminal acts, countering Russian propaganda and disinformation, strategic communications and expanding cooperation at various levels, including at the level of industries and institutions. During the meetings with the Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs, the issues of information exchange on Ukrainian refugees, in particular those related to illegal employment, as well as the identification of illegally acquired assets of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic who are fugitives from Ukrainian justice and other similar issues were discussed.

In addition, Artem Sytnyk disclosed details of the activities of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) in the context of preventing war-related corruption. His presentation covered such aspects as border crossings, vetting of military commissars and officials of the Ministry of Defense, as well as risks in the work of military medical commissions and during reconstruction.

Czech officials were interested in the monitoring system for the implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Program, the whistleblower portal, and the system for verifying electronic declarations of public officials, which most EU countries do not practice or have a different form.
