Ukraine and Canada have agreed to launch the joint production of Ukrainian unmanned systems on Canadian territory. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Details
The relevant agreement was signed by representatives of the defense departments of the two countries. Within the framework of the project, a joint venture, Airlogix-Sentinel, will be established involving the Ukrainian defense tech company Airlogix and the Canadian unmanned systems manufacturer Sentinel Research and Development. The Ukrainian reconnaissance drones produced in Canada will be transferred to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the new project is intended to accelerate the supply of modern reconnaissance assets and operation planning equipment to the Ukrainian military. The implementation of the initiative will take place with the support of the governments of both states.
It is expected that the cooperation will allow for the scaling of production of combat-proven Ukrainian technologies and strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
Partnership is beneficial for both countries
Ukraine and Canada will continue to work on joint solutions that meet the security interests of both states within a win-win partnership and the Ukrainian defense strategy
The department emphasized that the project also opens new opportunities for Canada. Specifically, this refers to the development of its own production capacities in the field of critical technologies and access to Ukrainian experience in modern warfare.
