Trump's deal with Iran could become a "bitter pill" for Netanyahu - Axios13.06.26, 20:00
The Iranian armed forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), denied that Iran would sign a deal with the United States on Sunday and criticized U.S. President Donald Trump's "unusual persistence" regarding signing the deal that day.
The IRGC called the timing a "test for Iran's negotiating team" and said Trump's statement came "despite the fact that Iranian negotiators clearly stated that the memorandum has not yet been finalized and that a Sunday signing will definitely not take place."
In a Telegram post, the organization suggested that Trump intended to schedule the signing for his birthday on June 14.
"Some observers believe his persistence may be driven by a desire to use the event symbolically and turn it into a personal PR event," the statement said.
