Speaking to reporters, the head of the White House confirmed that he had already had contacts with the Iranian side and plans to continue the dialogue to prevent a large-scale military confrontation. Trump emphasized that although a powerful aircraft carrier group is already heading to the shores of Iran, he hopes there will be no need to use it. The US President put a clear condition to Tehran: a complete renunciation of nuclear weapons development.
"I've had conversations and I plan to continue them. We have a lot of very big, very powerful ships, and it would be great if we didn't have to use them."
Defense Minister Pete Hegseth confirmed that the Pentagon is ready to implement any decision by the president if diplomatic efforts fail. At the same time, Iran, through its UN mission, expressed readiness for dialogue based on mutual respect, warning of immediate retaliation in case of any aggression from Washington.
