Traffic will be suspended in the city of Terebovlia, Ternopil region, starting from 8:00 AM. The restrictions will remain in effect for one year—until 8:00 AM on June 2, 2027.

The reason for the restriction is the capital repair of a bridge on the M-19 international highway. Approximately 15,000 vehicles pass through this section daily. Over the course of the year, plans include repairing not only the bridge itself but also the approach roads.
The bridge is of strategic importance for logistics and international communication, as it ensures continuous movement toward the border with Romania, improves cross-border mobility conditions, and enhances the safety and efficiency of the region's transport network.
The agency emphasizes that the temporary traffic management scheme and detour routes differ for passenger cars and freight transport. Therefore, drivers need to closely follow road signs and plan their routes in advance.
What you need to know about the restoration project
The bridge repair is being implemented within the framework of the international program Interreg NEXT "Poland – Ukraine 2021–2027." It is being restored using European Union funds, which finance 90% of the work's cost. The remaining 10% is co-financed by the Ukrainian side through local budgets.

In Ukraine, work is actively underway on the repair of six highways. More than 200 crews and about 2,000 workers are operating on the routes daily. By June 1, they plan to reach over 10 million m² of repaired pavement.
