Toyota will present two Land Cruiser concept SUVs in "Urban Style" at the Field Style Tokyo 2026 exhibition, UNN reports, citing Autoblog.

Toyota produces everything from lightweight sports cars like the GR86 to everyday models like the Camry. But at Field Style Tokyo 2026, the focus shifts from flashy concepts like the Celica Sport to something more grounded. Instead of high-profile show cars, the Land Cruiser Base division is presenting two unique SUVs, both titled "Urban Style," which explore how these iconic models can be reimagined for city life, the publication notes.
The first concept car is inspired by nostalgia. Finished in beige with body-colored wheels, it maintains a clean, utilitarian look, while subtle black and gray side stripes nod to 1980s design cues. And it still looks like a machine built for any journey, especially with its massive all-terrain tires.
The second concept car takes a different direction. Based on the Land Cruiser 250, also known as the Land Cruiser in the US and the Prado in other markets, it features a matte gray body color that contrasts with glossy black elements along the roofline and trim. The look is completed by 20-inch wheels with a dark finish. Given Toyota's plans to extend the lifecycle of flagship models to nine years, the 250 is likely to remain on the market for some time, the publication writes. Such concepts hint at how owners might personalize their SUVs over a longer service life, the outlet indicates.
Toyota has not introduced any mechanical upgrades, and the interiors remain a secret. Since neither model will enter mass production, this suggests both versions are design studies. However, they serve a specific purpose. Toyota wants to highlight the capabilities of the Land Cruiser Base division. Land Cruiser Base produces show cars like these, as well as parts for discontinued Land Cruiser models and other tuning components, the publication writes. This is part of the GR Heritage Parts program, which produces spare parts for other classic Toyota favorites, such as the Mk4 Supra and AE86.
