In 2024, since the start of the Ukrainian army recruitment centers, more than 32 thousand Ukrainians have applied for advice on enlistment. Last week, 901 Ukrainians turned to the centers.
It is reported that 47 recruitment centers are currently operating in Ukraine. Residents of Dnipropetrovs'k, Kharkiv, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia regions and the city of Kyiv are the most active in terms of the number of applications.
“Next year we plan to expand the network of such centers. Their main advantage is that they provide a transparent and convenient process of enlistment. Everyone who has expressed a desire to join the Defense Forces has the opportunity to choose a specialty and place of service, as well as receive an extended package of benefits and social guarantees that apply even to their family members,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk.
It is also noted that the recruitment centers of the Ukrainian army do not issue summonses and guarantee confidentiality. Currently, more than 10,000 vacancies in various military formations are available to candidates.

The head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, Serhiy Kuzan, told UNN that the main challenges for Ukraine in 2025 will be mobilization activities and the involvement of civilians in the army.
In October 2024, NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Lytvynenko said in a speech to the Verkhovna Rada that Ukraine planned to recruit more than 160,000 people into the Armed Forces.
