The Embassy of Ukraine in Israel was not aware of any Ukrainian deaths or injuries as a result of the ongoing hostilities. There is no need to evacuate Ukrainians from Israel, but people are applying, although not many. This was stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk in a comment to Radio Svoboda, UNN reports.
Regarding evacuation, people have applied, but not many. Currently, I have 25 applications. These are people who came for pilgrimage tours and, of course, did not expect such a story. And those who briefly visited friends, relatives and would like to leave.
He added that the embassy had not received any requests from citizens who had run out of money or had no place to live.
As of today, in my opinion, there is no urgent need for evacuation, as the crossing to Egypt is open 24/7. You can get there by bus or private transport, and from there it's two hours to Sharm el-Sheikh. On Saturday, at the time of the attack, we had delegations - we also took them to the Egyptian border.
According to him, the embassy contacts people via hotline or mail, and Ukrainian consuls receive citizens as usual.
Also, the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Arab Emirates and the Consulate of Dubai informed the publication that they are in constant contact with Ukrainian citizens, and the situation in the UAE remains stable and controlled.
At the same time, the embassy did not answer whether the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from the UAE is planned, adding that Ukrainians are provided with advisory and explanatory assistance regarding temporary stay, interaction with airlines, hotels and local services. However, the number of Ukrainians who applied for such assistance is not specified.
