The Verkhovna Rada has begun the procedure for appointing Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram, according to UNN.
Details
As the MP noted, it will take approximately 45 minutes. At the same time, Zheleznyak noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not be present at the presentation of the Minister of Defense.
Recall
The Verkhovna Rada failed to appoint Denys Shmyhal as First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Energy, garnering only 210 votes. He was previously dismissed from the post of Minister of Defense, and in the summer of 2024, he resigned as Prime Minister.
