Details
Oleksandr Syrsky's letter to Rustem Umerov emphasizes the need for immediate legislative changes to improve the issues of military service and mobilization and suggests that this provision be considered in a separate draft law.
"At the same time, certain provisions of the draft law, given the significant number of MPs' amendments, require more detailed analysis and additional study. Taking into account the above, it is proposed to regulate the issue of the grounds for dismissal from military service, as well as the introduction of rotation of servicemen at the legislative level, separately by considering it in another draft law," the Commander-in-Chief's letter says.
Umerov agreed with Syrsky's proposal and sent a letter to the Cabinet of Ministers.
"Certain provisions of the draft law, given the significant number of MPs' amendments, require more detailed analysis and additional study... 3 Taking into account the above, it is proposed that the issue of the grounds for dismissal from military service and the introduction of rotation of military personnel at the legislative level be regulated separately in another draft law... Taking into account the above, it is proposed to initiate before the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the issue of the possibility of excluding the above provisions from the draft law and including in the final provisions of this draft law a provision that would provide for an instruction to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to submit a relevant draft law on these issues to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," Umerov said.
At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on April 9, the proposal was adopted.
After that, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal appealed to the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk to support Syrsky's initiative.
