As part of the total package of 2 billion euros aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, the Netherlands has allocated 500 million euros for the purchase of drones. The main goal is to help the country more effectively counter Russian attacks.
According to reports, during a meeting with the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the Netherlands discussed the situation at the front and urgent military needs. The Ukrainian side stressed the critical need to increase the number of drones, air defense systems and artillery. Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans confirmed that the Netherlands is ready to promptly support these requests.
It was important to announce that we are providing Ukraine with accelerated support of 2 billion euros, including a drone project worth 500 million euros. These drones are changing the situation on the battlefield and literally saving lives. During his recent visit to the Netherlands, Minister Umerov asked for this with great urgency.
