Information disseminated in some media about allegedly 360,000 Russian troops on the territory of Belarus does not correspond to reality. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Telegram channel of the Center for Countering Disinformation of Ukraine.

According to the CPD, statements about "360,000 Russian troops in Belarus", which are spread in some media, are an element of information manipulation and fear-mongering.

"These reports do not reflect the real military situation," the post says.

Currently, Moscow does not have the resources and capabilities on the territory of Belarus for a large-scale offensive in the near future.

"This is also confirmed by official statements from the Lithuanian army and intelligence. According to Lithuanian defense agencies, there are currently only a few thousand Russian servicemen in Belarus, not hundreds of thousands, as stated in media reports. Trust official sources of information!" - emphasize the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Recall

The CPD reports on the activation of Russia's recruitment campaign in Iran to replenish its troops. Iranians are offered a $20,000 "signing bonus" and $2,000 per month to join the Russian army.
