The government has approved the Winter eSupport program initiated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, under which every Ukrainian will be able to receive UAH 1,000 after December 1. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, UNN reports.

The government has three key objectives in implementing the Winter is Support program:
- To provide financial assistance to Ukrainian families. The funds can be used for medicines, books, clothing, bus or train fares, utilities, etc.
- To support domestic producers and service providers. The funds will be directed to Ukrainian businesses, which will provide an additional impetus to the economy.
- To strengthen the unity of Ukrainian society. One of the ways to use the funds is to support the Ukrainian army by transferring money to charity accounts of the Security and Defense Forces or trusted volunteer funds.
