The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has placed Colonel Illya Lapin, who is suspected in the case of improper defense in Kharkiv region, in custody. The court also ordered Lapin to be taken to the hospital for treatment. This was reported to a journalist by UNN lawyer Illya Vorobyov.

The court refused to change the measure of restraint. Ordered to take Lapin to the hospital for treatment

- said the lawyer.

Lapin, in response to the court's decision, announced an indefinite  hunger strike.

"Regarding the hunger strike, I will now try to dissuade him from this, as it is extremely dangerous for the life of Illya Yevhenovych," Vorobyov added.

Vorobyov also spoke about the confusion regarding the judge's announcement of the decision to extend Lapin's detention.

The point is that in the short text of the ruling, the judge who extended the term of the preventive measure stated and announced in court that it was until May 17. However, later in the full text of his decision, the investigating judge stated that it was until April 20

- said the lawyer.
