Sweden will provide Ukraine with $2.7 billion as part of an aid package. The funds will be used for drone production as well as the purchase of aircraft from Sweden. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, UNN reports.

"Today there is a new support package from Sweden. This support opens up a new level of saving lives for us. In this package, totaling $2.7 billion, there are various elements to make us stronger. There are funds, in particular, for the production of drones... almost 400 million. But the most important thing is the Gripen,"
He noted that $2 billion from this package will be allocated specifically for the purchase of aircraft.
"We expect to receive the first capabilities, to receive the first Gripens over the next 10 months,"
The President emphasized that Ukraine is also ready to purchase aircraft from Sweden using funds allocated by the EU.

Ukraine has received the opportunity to purchase up to 20 Swedish-made Gripen fighters and is also expected to receive 16 as bilateral aid from Sweden.
