The Defense Forces of Ukraine have caused total damage to the port infrastructure of Tuapse and the Tuapse Oil Refinery in the Russian Federation amounting to over 300 million US dollars. This was reported by UNN with reference to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Details
It is estimated that the comprehensive strikes by units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in April and on May 1 resulted in damage to the port infrastructure of Tuapse and the Tuapse Oil Refinery totaling more than 300 million US dollars
Additional Information
On the night of May 5, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out strikes on a number of military-economic infrastructure facilities in Russia, including the "VNIIR-Progress" plant in Cheboksary and the "Kirishi" oil refinery in the Leningrad region.
UNN also reported that on the night of May 1, an oil refinery and a marine terminal in the Russian city of Tuapse came under attack.
In addition, it was reported that on April 28, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the "Tuapse" oil refinery.
Previously, drones had already attacked oil depots in Tuapse on the nights of April 16 and 20. At that time, large-scale fires broke out, and petroleum products leaked into the Black Sea and the Tuapse River.
Reminder
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries and ports have set the aggressor country's oil refining industry back to December 2009 levels. They reduced oil refining volumes to 4.69 million barrels per day.
