British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said he is "absolutely determined" to eradicate fraud in the оформленням of documents for migrants who come to the country to work as caregivers and junior medical staff. This is reported by UNN with reference to Bloomberg/
Details
Starmer made the statement after an investigation revealed widespread fraud on the visa route for health and care workers.
Starmer's spokesman Dave Pares noted that it "demonstrates the depth of abuse, fraud and exploitation faced by people coming to work in the social care sector."
As a Bloomberg investigation revealed, prospective migrants in countries such as India, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and others are overpaying thousands of pounds for the documents needed to obtain a medical worker visa that would entitle them to work in the social care sector in the UK. Many sell everything they have to raise funds, but receive fake documents or none at all.
British companies and their agents, as well as intermediaries in these countries, are involved in the fraudulent schemes. Meanwhile, British police have said they are unaware of the scale of the problem.

Ukrainians seeking refuge in the UK through the Homes for Ukraine programme are increasingly becoming victims of visa fraudsters. Criminals extort money from people, issue them with fake visas and disappear.
