US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated that significant progress has been made in the peace process regarding Ukraine, UNN reports.
The Ukrainians said that recently – since Geneva – we have made more progress than they have seen in the last four years of this conflict. Last Sunday in Abu Dhabi, we had five Russian generals together with Jared, myself, and Dan Driscoll. And we believe we have made serious progress. Negotiations will continue in about a week, but there is a lot of positive discussion between the parties regarding a "land deal."
He added that negotiators have largely completed two key components of a broader agreement: a security protocol and a prosperity framework aimed at supporting post-war stability and reconstruction in Ukraine.
We have a security protocol agreement that is largely complete, a prosperity agreement that is largely complete. And I think the people of Ukraine are now hopeful and expect that we will soon conclude a peace agreement.
