People's Deputy Nestor Shufrych, who was transferred to house arrest in a high treason case, took part in the work of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech remotely and even voted during the meeting, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on social media on Tuesday, UNN writes.
Details
Zheleznyak reported on Shufrych's participation in the meeting in the context of the committee's vote on the revised draft law No. 15294.
"The decision to recommend adoption as a basis was supported unanimously by all committee members, including Nestor Shufrych," Zheleznyak stated, posting a video.
According to the MP, this draft law significantly increases liability for crimes against children, including the production and distribution of child pornography, and duplicates the norms on the decriminalization of adult content from a previous draft law that was not passed. The main committee for the draft law is the Committee on Law Enforcement.
