A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the agency that the injuries were not serious, but that some troops had been moved to a separate location for further evaluation.
It is noted that on August 10, US military forces in northeastern Syria were attacked by a drone. The attack took place in the Rumalin landing zone, where US troops are stationed along with the US-led coalition forces.
This was the second attack in recent days on the US military in the Middle East.
