An energy facility in Sumy region came under an enemy attack overnight, leaving more than 100,000 consumers without electricity. The day before, Ukraine had been receiving electricity from Poland on an emergency basis, and imports are scheduled to reach record levels again today, the Energy Ministry said on Saturday, UNN reports.
Details
Yesterday, at Poland's request, Ukraine received surplus electricity from the country's power system. This allows us to partially cover the capacity deficit caused by massive Russian attacks on the energy system.
"Today, the hourly outage schedules apply from 0:00 to 24:00. However, due to reduced consumption on weekends and the active operation of SPPs, restrictions will not be applied from 10:00 to 15:00," the Ministry of Energy reported.
