Russian forces struck rescuers again while they were extinguishing a fire following a Russian attack on the Epicenter shopping center in Sumy, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.

According to the SES, the Russians carried out a series of strikes on Sumy and attacked rescuers.
"A Russian FPV drone hit a 9-story residential building. A fire broke out on the first floor. Rescuers evacuated residents of the high-rise building. As a result of the strike, 6 people were injured, including 4 children," the SES stated.
Due to the enemy shelling, the SES noted, "a large-scale fire broke out in the shopping center." "As soon as rescuers began extinguishing, the enemy launched repeated strikes. During one of the attacks, a service vehicle was destroyed and one SES vehicle was damaged," the SES reported.
It was also noted that the adjacent area was attacked. Two cars caught fire. Rescuers extinguished the fire.
According to the Sumy region police, over the past day in the Sumy community, as a result of a hit by an enemy drone, six people were wounded and injured, including four children: boys aged 7 and 8, girls aged 12 and 16, as well as a 39-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman.
Two apartment buildings, the premises of a shopping center, the Epicenter shopping center building, a civilian car, a trolleybus contact line, and equipment at a gas station were damaged, the police stated.
In total, ten people were injured due to enemy attacks in the Sumy region over the past day.
