The enemy is trying to take advantage of the moment when the maximum volume of water has accumulated in the reservoir due to the spring flood. The destruction of the dam right now, during the period of "high water," would lead to catastrophic consequences for communities downstream, causing large-scale flooding and an ecological disaster.
The enemy, having failed to achieve success physically, switched to an information and psychological attack. In addition, fakes about damage to the dam and alleged emergency water discharge are being spread on Russian-controlled public pages.

In fact, the dam was not damaged, and the water discharge is carried out in a planned, controlled mode.
