Russia attacked the main railway "gates" of Kryvyi Rih: what residents saw
76-year-old Mrs. Lyubov witnessed the attack on the Kryvyi Rih railway station. The city resident first saw Russian UAVs flying near the Dovhyntseve market, which is located near the station and railway tracks. The woman went to the market by public transport for groceries and came under a massive drone attack.
I had just gotten off the tram when it started buzzing right over my head. I even lifted my head and looked to see where it was buzzing, but my eyes are already bad and I didn't see anything. Then I see people around me starting to gather their things (their belongings, - ed.) and run away. Only (women, - ed.) who sell milk remained. And then it started banging so hard that I even pulled my head into my shoulders
After that, Mrs. Lyubov went home. Around 2:00 PM, the elderly woman went to the railway station area again, as she had business there. This time, she didn't even reach her destination and first heard a loud explosion, and then saw a fiery flash and a column of smoke from the window of a shuttle bus.
I hadn't even arrived yet when something very loud exploded. And then, over the roof (of the station building, - ed.), a red fire and black smoke poured out. I quickly got out, got on a shuttle bus, and went back
The city resident also knows nothing about injured people. Mrs. Lyubov explained that she did not hear cries for help. She also did not encounter any injured people on her way.
Details
Local residents have repeatedly complained about the condition of shelters near the main railway station of Kryvyi Rih. For people with suitcases, pets, and small children, there are currently only two modular shelters within walking distance of the station. Both are small.
In addition, Kryvyi Rih residents are not satisfied with the condition of these premises. They say that there is no light in the modular shelters, there is a constant unpleasant smell of human waste. The benches where one could sit are very dirty. In addition, homeless people are often seen there, who take refuge in the shelters from the cold and bad weather. People are afraid of such neighbors and refuse to go to the modular shelters during an air raid.
There is a full-fledged shelter in the area of the main railway station in Kryvyi Rih. However, people complain that the building is located too far away and it is inconvenient and takes a long time to get there with their luggage from the main building of the railway station. Therefore, very often, risking it, people wait out the air raid with their suitcases on the platform near the main building of the station - exactly where today eyewitnesses visually saw fire and smoke after the UAV strike.
