The deployment of a European peacekeeping contingent as part of a possible end to the long-running conflict and Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine is not acceptable to Moscow, according to a statement by a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Moscow is “certainly not satisfied” with proposals from people around US President-elect Donald Trump to send a “peacekeeping contingent of ‘British and European forces’ to Ukraine,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a statement released by his ministry today.
