Russia launched a combined strike on one of Naftogaz's key facilities in the Kharkiv region, the Naftogaz Group reported, according to UNN.
Russian troops launched a massive attack on one of the Naftogaz Group's key facilities in the Kharkiv region. During the night attack, the enemy used combined tactics. First, the facility was attacked by drones. About an hour later, the Russians launched a second strike—this time with missiles,
"This is a deliberate tactic of terror. This is how the Russians try to inflict maximum damage not only on infrastructure but also on the people who rescue, repair, and restore. It was this tactic that led to tragic consequences on the night of May 5, when our colleagues and SES rescuers were killed," noted Sergiy Koretskyy, Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Following the tragic events of May, the Naftogaz Group reportedly revised its security approaches and strengthened response protocols during the elimination of the consequences of attacks. This, as noted, allows for minimizing risks to employees working at critical infrastructure facilities.
"Adapting to these realities, we have introduced stricter security protocols to minimize the threat to our employees. I thank my colleagues for the fact that conclusions were drawn, and this time there were no casualties. Assessment of the consequences and restoration work will begin as soon as the security situation permits," Koretskyy added.
Relevant services are reportedly working on-site. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
