Russia attacked Ukraine with 67 strike drones overnight; 56 of them were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Friday, UNN writes.

According to the AFU Air Force, on the night of May 8 (from 18:00 on May 7), the enemy attacked with 67 Shahed-type strike UAVs (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and "Parodiya" decoy drones from the directions of: Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo – RF, and Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 56 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the south and east of the country. Hits by 11 strike UAVs were recorded at 8 locations, as well as the falling of downed drones (debris) at 7 locations
