Situation by directions
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, nine combat engagements took place over the past day; the enemy carried out 61 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements, including ten using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units 15 times in the areas of the settlements of Zelene, Vovchansk, Ternova, Starytsia, Petro-Ivanivka, Myrove, Symynivka, Prylypka, Lyman, and Krasne Pershe.
In the Kupyansk direction, our defenders stopped three enemy attacks in the areas of Kurylivka and Kivsharivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 13 attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zarichne, Drobysheve, Lyman, Stavky, and Ozerne.
In the Slovyansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled five attempts by the invaders to move forward in the areas of the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, over the past day, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders three times in the areas of the settlements of Fedorivka Druha, Minkivka, and in the direction of Zapovidne.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 12 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Illinivka, and Ivanopillia.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 37 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Toretske, Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, and towards the settlements of Hannivka, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Novooleksandrivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked twice in the areas of the settlements of Radisne and Oleksandrohrad.
In the Huliaipole direction, 18 attacks by the occupiers took place in the areas of the settlements of Rybne, Charivne, Huliaipole, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Sviatopetrivka, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, and Huliaipilske.
In the Orikhiv direction, over the past day, the enemy tried to advance three times in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbaky and Stepnohirsk.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that in the frontline areas, in the communities near the front, there was no peace the day before. The Russians continue their assault activity in those directions that are key for them; there is shelling, there were drone strikes of various types at the front - that is, at the front, the Russian army does not observe silence and does not even particularly try. All our Ukrainian units act in a mirror-like manner and protect our positions exactly as needed, the President noted.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a three-day truce between the Russian Federation and Ukraine - from May 9 to 11, and also announced an exchange of prisoners of war in a "1000 for 1000" format.
