Russia launched a ballistic missile and 116 drones at Ukraine overnight, 109 of which were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Thursday, UNN writes.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of May 21 (from 6:00 PM on May 20), the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region – RF, and 116 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and "Parody" type decoy drones from the directions of: Kursk, Bryansk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, and Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30 AM, air defense shot down/suppressed 109 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits by a ballistic missile and 5 strike UAVs were recorded at 5 locations, as well as the fall of downed debris at 4 locations
As indicated, several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.
