Russia plans to manufacture 7.3 million FPV drones by 2026. Additionally, the Russians are deploying another 4 regiments, 24 divisions, and 162 batteries to counter Ukrainian drones. Meanwhile, in April, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck over 160,000 enemy targets.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, heard a report from military intelligence regarding the development of the Russian Unmanned Systems Forces. He noted that for 2026, Russia plans to produce 7.3 million FPV drones and 7.8 million warheads for various types of UAVs. This was reported by UNN with reference to Syrskyi's post on Telegram.

The adversary is increasing the supply of strike drones with turbojet engines to its troops. Additionally, the Russians are deploying another 4 regiments, 24 battalions, and 162 batteries to counter Ukrainian drones.

The enemy is strengthening its layered air defense cover for Moscow and the Krasnodar Krai. In fact, the Russians are scaling their unmanned systems forces by copying Ukrainian solutions—technical, tactical, and organizational. The same applies to the use of electronic warfare (EW) systems in border regions,

At the same time, during April 2026, the unmanned systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine:

  • performed nearly 357,000 combat missions;
    • hit over 160.7 thousand verified targets. According to Syrskyi, this is 2% more than in March;
      • suppressed over 7.7 thousand positions of enemy unmanned aerial system pilots;
        • struck 424 enemy objects using Middle Strike assets at distances of 20-250 km.

          Syrskyi also signed orders to commend the best servicemen in the field of unmanned systems.

          During the monthly meeting on the development of unmanned systems, problematic issues and ways to solve them were discussed separately, and experiences of effective combat work were exchanged. In particular, regarding the use of interceptor drones to cover our infantry groups,
