The government of the Russian Federation has approved a large-scale plan to "combat the destructive behavior of youth" until 2030. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC of Ukraine.
Details
According to the CCD, the document, which includes 41 measures, provides for total monitoring of the internet space for young people. A key tool in this situation is the creation of a network of "cyber-squads" and "media patrols," into which students, among others, will be recruited forcibly or "semi-voluntarily."
In fact, the state is legalizing the institution of internet denunciation, where youth, under the supervision of educational authorities, must monitor the content and "unreliable" publications of their own peers
They added that the Russian authorities are once again taking a step toward turning the internet into an isolated environment under the full control of the special services.
The Kremlin clearly understands: in modern realities, control over information flows is control over the consciousness of citizens. Since the blocking strategy failed to completely cut off the younger generation's access to alternative sources of information, the bet is now being placed on internal surveillance and the creation of an atmosphere of constant monitoring
As a reminder
The Russian internet watchdog announced that it is slowing down the Telegram messenger due to alleged violations of Russian law. This occurred amid Moscow's attempts to force Russians to use a more strictly controlled domestic online service.
UNN also reported that Russian authorities have effectively blocked the WhatsApp messenger, making access impossible without complex workarounds.
