The National Police liquidated an organized criminal group of fraudsters who extorted money from customers and failed to deliver over a hundred drones worth almost 11 million hryvnias to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the agency, writes UNN.

As investigators established, the fraudsters registered a sole proprietorship under a straw person and quickly and cheaply supplied trial batches of 3-5 drones to the victims with partial prepayment.
Having "bribed" customers with a favorable offer, the perpetrators subsequently offered larger batches of UAVs at even lower prices, but with full prepayment.
When buyers ordered more, the fraudsters stopped responding and blocked the customers' contacts. The received money was immediately transferred to "cold" crypto wallets or bank accounts of fictitious business entities. From there, the perpetrators cashed out the money and divided it among themselves.
Police conducted 15 authorized searches of the fraudsters and their accomplices, as a result of which they seized 53 Mavic drones, 152 silver bars, and almost 740 thousand dollars in various currencies. The perpetrators turned out to be residents of Kyiv and Ternopil.
